Birds, kites, planes and rockets, if it flies in, with or through the air it will be included in this camp as we investigate different types of aerodynamics. All week long, campers will build various flying machines, explore space and apply Newton's Laws of motion as we take daily flights of discovery!

Science in Motion (SIM)
Entering Grades 1-4
Science and engineering go hand-in-hand as our campers discover what machines and nature have in common. Campers will build various structures like bridges and domes, discover how animals and bugs move through their world and ours, and run a crazy obstacle course with the help of simple machines.

From our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program sends children on a quest for exploration! Comets, planets, stars and more are all waiting to be discovered. Learn about the four forces of flight, the challenges of space travel, and participate in a rocket launch!

Become a super sleuth and learn clever ways of performing tasks in this hands-on view of the science that spies use. From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers will have the opportunity to check out spy equipment, and discover the technological tools of detection!

Shake up a flask of fun in the lab as a junior chemist! These five half-days of chemistry are packed solid with cool reactions. Campers put on some goggles and change liquid to solid and back again. They get to handle laboratory tools, build and break molecules, and pick up some tricks on chemical changes.

Create your own scientific reactions while learning about the nuts and bolts of the universe. Take home projects include a robot, a super ball, a "Bugbot", silly putty (aka Goo) and more!

They will get acquainted with the many insect inhabitants of their gardens, and learn how those insects help make their gardens so beautiful. Campers will add daily to a mural reflecting what they’ve discovered.

Finally, take an exciting mission with Mad Science to explore the planets, moons and stars. Campers will enjoy daily take-home projects related to each subject.
