CAMP THEMES

Picture
Brixology (BRIX)
Entering Grades 2-6

Step into the shoes of an engineer!  Using LEGO® bricks, campers take part in fun, physically active games based on daily themes, and build different engineering-themed projects each day.  They will explore engineering fields, and participate in collaborative challenges to solve real-world problems, while using critical thinking, cooperation and creative problem-solving skills to test and improve creations.  Take-home projects will be given daily to reinforce each concept.

Crazy Chemworks (CCW)
Entering Grades 2-6

Shake up a flask of fun in the lab as a junior chemist! These five half-days of chemistry are packed solid with cool reactions. Campers put on some goggles and change liquid to solid and back again. They get to handle laboratory tools, build and break molecules, and pick up some tricks on chemical changes.

Secret Agent Lab (SAL)
Entering Grades 2-6

Step into the shoes of a detective by uncovering the science involved in evidence-gathering and analysis and also focus on the science of forensics in a hands-on look at "crime" scenes in this full-day camp. Become a super sleuth and learn clever ways of performing tasks with the science that spies use. Identify and collect evidence and recreate the scene of a crime using clues and detailed observations. From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers will have the opportunity to check out spy equipment and discover the technological tools of detection! They will use science to connect the dots and help sniff out the suspects in this hands-on investigation into the science of sleuthing.
